Solon Beef Days annual car raffle this year featured a 2011 Chevy Aveo from Dan Lynch in Mt Vernon. All Ten prizes awarded had a value of over $20,000. The Celebrity Drawer for the raffle was Father Jim Vrba from St. Mary’s church here in Solon. Ironically the Solon Methodist Church was the grand prize winner accepting the $10,000 instead of the car with the winning ticket being bought by an anonymous donor. Father remarked after he drew their ticket that he was happy they won. The other prize winners were:
